Choosing A Location For Your Container Garden
Selecting a suitable place for your outdoor container garden is an important consideration. If you pick the wrong location, it could spell disaster for your plants. The correct location is one in which the plants get just the right amount of sunlight, are protected from harm, and is easily accessible for care and maintenance.
The most critical part of picking a place for your container garden is choosing one where the amount of sun is right for your plants. This could mean placing part of your garden in one area of your yard, and others in another area.
If you have a lot of plants that need more sunlight, and others that need more shade, you’ll either have to separate your garden into two areas, or you’ll have to provide shade to those plants that require it.
This can be pretty easy for a container garden. If you just have a couple of plants that need shade, you can set up some kind of shade system. By using a tarp or other shade system, you can create a frame over your plants that blocks sunlight for the majority of the day, based on on how much shade the plants require. This way, you can put your shade-loving plants along side your sun-loving plants.
